Figura di merda | A Poem

Scroll down to content

I watched tears

dry on your face

and I could barely sit tight

I wanted to get back

at the world for you

but you escaped,

you resigned

you saw them coming

you urged them to come

figura di merda

since I came into your life

all I have done is

unbecoming what you expected of me

you villainised

a little girl

and everybody believed you

you don’t spill your lies

on the pages that I write on

I refuse to put you in a better light

girls dolls daughters

hearts out of your chest

you begged for something

that you refused to give

your absence

and your presence

were detrimental

a father’s body

shouldn’t haunt his daughter’s body
