After 10 years in Edinburgh as a pentalingual and interdisciplinary theatre, arts and education professional with three degrees in English Literature, Film and Visual Culture, she is currently based in Luxembourg working with artists, life drawing groups, art academies, sculptors, cultural institutions, photographers and creatives around the globe.
Laura views the erotic as an acute sense of aliveness and a creative life force that is not innately sexual. A quintessential core energy that can be used to create art and infuse it with the synergetic inspiration of both the art model and artist. She is drawn to the profoundness, immensity and truthfulness of the visceral emotional landscape excavated and turned flesh, skin and hair. Inner language metamorphosed into reverberant speaking bodyscapes. The architecture of the ecstatic soul. The embodiment of cacophonic emotionality.
As an art model and artist, she invites those who collaborate with her to sit with the nude body, the persona thereof, in the space and their craft, to be present with one another and attentive, to respond to the inner workings of what the nude body brings forth, to feel it, all of it and listen to what it has to say and move with it. You draw what you feel. You create what moves you. You respond to yourself as you observe. You see what you feel and think. Alchemise it all into art.
Laura can be booked as an art model for 1:1 private life drawing sessions online and in person (Luxembourg & Germany | unless travel and housing costs are covered), for life drawing groups online or in person (Luxembourg & Germany | unless travel and housing costs are covered), for photography sessions, as a drawing teacher on how to collaborate with an art model and draw the figure in your own way, performance art projects and academic drawing classes in cultural institutions online or in person (Luxembourg & Germany | unless travel and housing costs are covered).
