Herabsetzung | a poem

who defines the concept of a whole life

he’d say his life was whole

because it was his own

to take

it’s unfinished within us

he is

unfinished within us

because he is still whole

because he broke in two

I turn to my younger self

to find my older self

he told her (it’s very simple)

I either make love

or I empty my balls

he sits, exposed, in his backseat

waiting for her to move

she stares at his expectant face

and understands under which category she’d fall

where he’d put her after this

what’s the point

empty himself into her

his emptiness within her

getting rid of himself through her

garbage body

flush body

what’s the point

he ridicules her for not moving

towards him

on top of him

speechless against the door of his car

did he not listen to himself?
