temple/earth/lament | Knochenklagelied | a poem in bodyless garments

the soundlessness

of you taking your own breath away

flowerground

earthbound

dead sunshine

tires mute, wooden box, fingers waxed

hands on the stomach, wool and jeans

afire, formaldehyde, blue forehead blue

cold on my lips, warm in my memory

death against my temples, pillarstones

you see what I see

standing in a crowd

children see men fall from the sky above

an endless sight

sneaking in

creaking

let me back in

I never let you leave in the first place
